If the story regarding the Ukrainian icon is true, then someone must go to jail, the Croat member of Bosnia's tripartite Presidency, Zeljko Komsic, said Thursday, commenting allegations that the Orthodox icon which Serb Presidency member Milorad Dodik gave to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Monday was part of Ukrainian cultural heritage.

If the story about the icon turns out to be true, that it's originally from Ukraine and that it was brought to Banja Luka during the Ukrainian conflict, then its stolen and someone must go to jail for that if we want to have a proper state,” Zeljko Komsic said, adding that the other solution is for Dodik to say where he got it from.
“Dodik must say where he got it from, who gave it to him and who planted it to him? This can't be over without any results because it's an international theft, this is something tried in every country. This must end up in courts, someone must answer for this,” Komsic stressed.
Ukrainian Embassy to Bosnia filed a diplomatic note to Bosnia's Foreign Minister requesting information on the origin of the icon belonging to their cultural heritage.
Speaking to N1, Bosnia's Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic said that they had received a diplomatic note from the Embassy of Ukraine asking for a statement on how the 300-year-old icon was in the possession of a BiH official, more precisely, the Chairman of BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik.
