Abuse of office indictment filed against head of BiH's Service for Joint Affairs

Organised crime prosecutors have filed an indictment against Dragan Sojic, director of the Service for Joint Affairs of BiH Institutions, who stands accused of abuse of office.

Sojic is accused of having, in the period from 2018 to 2022, acted contrary to the law and regulations and abused his official position in order to obtain illegal financial benefits for himself, and to have caused damage to the funds of the budget and his institution.

The indictment states that he used the official vehicles of the institution to travel abroad privately, to Serbia and Montenegro, without official orders and the necessary procedures. He also allegedly entered false data regarding the movement of vehicles within BiH in travel orders and entered incorrect data on official trips and his presence at the workplace in order to secure benefits.
Prosecutors say Sojicdamaged the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the amount of at least 41,877.78 BAM through these illegal actions.

The indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
