Aegean Airlines established direct flights between Sarajevo and Athens, Sarajevo International Airport said.

The first flight from Athens landed on Friday evening on the runway of Sarajevo International Airport, where representatives of Sarajevo Airport, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Greece to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ioanna Efthymiadou, welcomed the Aegean Airlines delegation.

“This is an important step to connect Sarajevo with Athens and the wider travel network offered by Aegean. We are looking forward to continuously providing our citizens with even more opportunities for travel, but also to be able to promote Sarajevo as an attractive destination for tourists from Greece”, said Alan Bajic, director of Sarajevo International Airport.
