Alpac Capital takes over N1, Nova S, Radar, Danas, dismisses desk chiefs

According to the Serbian Business Registers Agency (APR), the appointment of the Alpac Capital owner was approved on August 17, 2026.

All of the desk chiefs have been dismissed: Mihailo Jovicevic, head of the Nova portal and newspaper and Radar weekly; Aleksandra Mitic, director of Danas daily publisher Dan graf and Brent Sadler who has been dismissed head of Adria News, i.e. N1. Sadler was also removed as head of Adria News Nova S, a position to which he was recently appointed. Nova S TV chief Janez Zivko was also dismissed.

N1: We will continue working in line with the same professional standards

The process of taking over Adria News Network (ANN) is continuing in line with plans announced earlier, and the change in ownership will not affect the editorial policy of N1 TV, nor the way in which our newsroom makes editorial decisions.

The N1 newsroom will continue to operate based on the same professional principles and standards as before. The editorial team retains full responsibility for the selection of topics, the manner of reporting, and editorial decisions made in the public interest.
