Speaking at Trevor Noah's Daily Show, Christiane Amanpour said that journalists should not be neutral, but truthful, because neutral reporting can bring about false equivalence.
“I've come up with a sort of a slogan right now because I'm frustrated at all of this, so I now say truthful, not neutral, there's a difference. Truthful is bringing the truth, neutral can be creating a false equivalence,” Amanpour said.
She said she learned this in Bosnia, during the 1992-1995 war.
