Bosnia’s Croat Presidency member and Chairman Zeljko Komsic and Bosniak member Sefik Dzaferovic received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Igor Kalabuhov, Tuesday when he reiterated his country’s support for BiH’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the Presidency said.
Ambassador Kalabuhov brought the Russian response to a letter by Komsic and Dzaferovic written to Russian President Vladimir Putin, regarding the situation in the country. He reiterated that Russia fully supports Bosnia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity as well as the Dayton Peace Agreement which ended the 1992-1995 war in the country and that they respect any agreement made within BiH.
The Croat and Bosniak Presidency members noted that no one has the right to unilaterally destroy Bosnia’s state institutions formed in line with the Dayton Accords and with the agreement of all the relevant parties in the country’s Parliamentary Assembly.
They also said that blocking the work of state institutions is contrary to the Dayton, undemocratic and that it is something that damages all the citizens of this country as well as its stability.
