ANN: Danas, Nova editorial staff remain in their positions

“At a meeting held at the offices of Danas in Belgrade, Pedro Vargas David and Brent Sadler confirmed that Dragoljub Draza Petrovic, editor-in-chief of Danas, and Ranko Pivljanin, editor-in-chief of Nova, will remain in their positions,” ANN said in a statement.

Aleksandra Mitic, the daughter of one of the Danas founders, the late Dusan Mitrovic, has also been reappointed to her position, where she is responsible for administration and finance.

“During the organizational transition, both editorial teams were directly informed at the meeting that their editors would remain in their positions and continue to be responsible for editorial content and day-to-day decision-making,” the statement said.

“Danas is a historic brand on Serbia’s media scene and a valuable part of our portfolio. Like all of our media organizations, it will operate independently and uphold high journalistic standards. We look forward to working with the editorial teams to build a stable and sustainable future for Danas,” Pedro Vargas David is quoted as saying.
