A total of 469 new coronavirus infections were confirmed in Bosnia and Herzegovina and another nine COVID-19 patients passed away in the country in the past 24 hours, healthcare authorities reported on Friday.
Of the 2,008 people tested in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity since Thursday, 280 were positive. Six more COVID-19 patients passed away in FBiH.
In the other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 159 of the 641 people tested were positive and two died due to the disease.
Bosnia’s Brcko DIstrict also registered 30 new coronavirus infections and one COVID-19 fatality.
More than 130,000 people tested positive for the virus in Bosnia since the beginning of the pandemic.
Bosnia’s COVID-19 death toll has surpassed 5,000.
