Another 5,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines from Serbia arrived at the Sarajevo airport on Friday, Sanja Bagaric-Arnaut, Airport Spokesperson confirmed for N1.
As she added, the vaccines arrived on a regular Air Serbia flight at 2:50 p.m.
These are the vaccines intended for the vaccination of health workers in the Bosnian Federation (FBiH) entity.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic had previously arrived in Sarajevo with a contingent of 5,000 vaccines. Vucic and the donation of vaccines were then welcomed by members of Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency Milorad Dodik and Sefik Dzaferovic.
The inoculation with the previously donated vaccines continues in the FBiH’s cantons, as follows: Sarajevo Canton received 1,050 vaccines, Tuzla 1,000, Zenica-Doboj 740, Herzegovina-Neretva received 550 vaccines, and Central Bosnia and Una-Sana Canton received 500. Canton 10 received 250 vaccines, West Herzegovina 200, Posavina 100 and Bosnia-Podrinje 50.
