A total of 646 new coronavirus infections and 46 COVID-19 fatalities, as well as 1,065 recoveries, were reported in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past 24 hours, healthcare authorities reported on Wednesday.

In Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity, 389 of the 2,257 people tested for the virus since Tuesday were positive and 39 COVID-19 patients passed away.

In the other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 229 of 724 people tested were positive and 15 died from the disease.

Bosnia’s Brcko District registered 28 new infections and one COVID-19 died.

A total of 197,378 people tested positive for the virus since the beginning of the pandemic and 158,160 of them have recovered so far.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll is 8,464.

There are currently 30,754 active coronavirus cases in Bosnia.
