Arson attack targets official vehicle of Mostar Mayor

"In recent times, we have been witnessing an organized creation of a narrative of hatred and attacks on my work solely because we are protecting the interests of the City of Mostar. Such a narrative has its consequences, and this event clearly shows the goal of those who encourage it," Kordic posted on his Facebook profile.

He expressed regret that the situation had escalated to the point where he must seek police protection.

"I regret that we have come to a situation where, due to performing our duties, we must request police protection, but this will not stop us. We will continue to work diligently, responsibly, and solely in the interest of Mostar. Upon completion of the investigation, we will inform the public promptly about all findings," Kordic said.
