Inspectors of Bosnia’s Service for Foreigner’s Affairs found 187 Pakistani migrants in improvised shelters in the areas of Kamenica and Zegarska Aleja in the northwestern town of Bihac and are relocating them to the ‘Lipa’ migrant reception camp.
The migrants are currently going through medical examinations and the process of their identification and registration, the institution said.
The activities were carried out in cooperation with the police officers of the Ministry of the Interior of the Una-Sana Canton and with the support of the medical team of the Bihac Health Center, Civil Protection and other bodies.
The northwestern Una-Sana Canton is the area most affected by the migrant crisis in Bosnia, as it borders Croatia where the migrants aim to cross over into the EU.
