The number of new apartments sold in Bosnia's Federation entity in the first quarter of 2024 decreased by 12.4% compared to the average number sold in 2023. Compared to the first quarter of 2023, the number of sales dropped by 10%.

In total, 216 new apartments were sold in Federation during the first three months of 2024, with 50 of these in Sarajevo and the rest in other cities.

The average price of new apartments sold in the first quarter of 2024 was 2.1% higher than the average price in 2023, and 6.4% higher than in the first quarter of 2023.

Specifically, the average price per square meter in the first quarter of this year was 3,527 BAM in Sarajevo, while in the rest of FBiH, excluding Sarajevo, it was 2,382.4 BAM, according to BiznisInfo.ba.

The usable area of new apartments sold in the first quarter of 2024 increased by 3.1% compared to 2023 but decreased by 6.7% compared to the first quarter of 2023, according to the Federal Bureau of Statistics.
