Becirovic receives Ukraine’s first resident ambassador, emphasizes strengthening BiH-Ukraine ties

Becirovic highlighted BiH’s consistent support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

He stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina bases its foreign policy on the principles of international law, including respect for the United Nations Charter.

The Presidency member recalled BiH’s active participation in international initiatives in solidarity with Ukraine, including his visit to Kyiv, participation in the Crimea Platform, the International Conference for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, and the recently held Paris Peace Forum panel “Ending the War in Ukraine: Building Pathways to Peace and Recovery.”

Becirovic emphasized the importance of continuously strengthening the partnership and cooperation between BiH and Ukraine.

Ambassador Bachynsky expressed his readiness to further develop the partnership between the two friendly states, expressing particular gratitude for Ukraine’s appreciation of the continuous support received from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
