Becirovic: Strong, developed local communities are the foundation of a stable and prosperous BiH

At the invitation of Mayor Senad Selimovic, Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Becirovic visited the Municipality of Donji Vakuf, where he discussed key development and infrastructure projects, opportunities to attract domestic and foreign investment, and ways to create a more favourable business environment and generate new jobs. The talks also focused on upgrading the municipality's business zone, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, boosting agriculture and tourism, and better aligning local development priorities with programmes implemented by higher levels of government.

Chairman Becirovic said that strong and developed local communities are the foundation of a stable and prosperous Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stressed the importance of coordinated action by all levels of government and support for well-prepared projects that contribute to economic growth, employment and improving citizens' living standards.
Becirovic highlighted Donji Vakuf's considerable development potential, particularly given its location at the crossroads of major trunk roads. He added that special attention should be paid to education, young people, sports and culture, as well as to creating conditions that would enable young people to build their future in Donji Vakuf and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Speaking about the challenges facing the municipal authorities and residents of Donji Vakuf, Mayor Selimovic said that modernising road infrastructure, improving connectivity with other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and upgrading local transport and municipal infrastructure are among the key prerequisites for attracting new investment, fostering economic development and ensuring more balanced progress across all local communities.
Mayor Selimovic thanked Becirovic for the visit and for the interest shown in the needs of the citizens of Donji Vakuf. He said that such meetings contribute to a better understanding of the challenges facing local communities and create opportunities for stronger institutional cooperation, BiH Presidency announced.
