Belgrade to host 2029 Europa League Final

The decision was made during a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee in Thessaloniki, Greece. The final is scheduled for May 23, 2029, and will take place at the upcoming National Stadium on the outskirts of Belgrade.

The UEFA Champions League final that same year will be held in Barcelona.

Despite delays, setbacks, and minor pushback, European football’s governing body found a way forward and greenlit Belgrade’s bid to host the 2029 Europa League final.

Under the original project timeline, the 52,000-seat National Stadium is expected to be completed next year.
