The case of Milena Radulovic, who reported Belgrade acting professor Miroslav Miko Aleksic for rape, started a torrent of reports of many women who spoke out about their cases of sexual harassment across the region. Bosnian actress and director Hasija Boric stated in a public letter published at Tacno.net portal that Milena's case "reminds her of painful and terrible days of staying and studying at the Drama Studio in Sarajevo", claiming that the drama studio was a “sewer, a hotbed of sexual abuse of students," and that Professor Katica Doric-Lesic knew about everything. In her confession for N1, Boric spoke about these and other things.
The famous actress explained how she experienced a sort of catharsis while speaking about this on N1 TV:
“It can't happen on the first day, I was very upset yesterday. I secretly wrote that letter and instantly published it. It was very hard for me yesterday and I was on tranquillizers the whole day. This morning I became aware of what I had written and I was hesitant to come to your TV. My biggest moral dilemmas were my children and the children of those people. I’m going through a kind of purification with you as I talk here, a kind of catharsis and that means a lot to me. There will probably be negative reactions to my letter and attacks on me. Others did the dirty work for my professor, you know. She never exposed herself, it can never be said that she raised her head and spoke out. So there will be negative reactions,” Boric concluded.
During the interview on N1, she told the parents to raise their children to be free, to stand up to criminals.
“I’ve decided to ask the citizens, all those who listened to my story, to raise their children to strong, to slap that professor, to react physically, to leave the hall or go to the police. Let them go to all those institutions that have to protect them and let them report those [professors] to the court immediately. Had I done it right away… you know, the worst thing is pushing things under the rug because it creates trauma. The moment a one opens themselves up and say what is tormenting their soul accusing the criminal, it will be easier for them. I urge you that this case does not remain a private story, a fight between Hasija Boric and Kaca Doric,” Boric said for N1.
She added that her story should serve a deeper function, urging citizens to take care of their children.
N1 TV reached out to Katica Doric-Lesic for comment to which she said:
“Thank you for calling. I’ve notified my attorney about the whole situation. Thank you very much.”
