On July 3, the Council of the European Union adopted a decision amending the existing sanctions regime targeting the proliferation and use of chemical weapons.

Under the decision, six individuals were added to the list of natural and legal persons, entities, and bodies subject to restrictive measures.

In addition to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, and Ukraine also aligned themselves with the decision.

These countries committed to bringing their national policies into line with the EU Council decision.

The European Union welcomed their commitment to implementing the restrictive measures.
