On Sunday, the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Cardinal Vinko Puljic, offered his condolences to the family, relatives, associates and the City of Zagreb on the occasion of the death of Mayor Milan Bandic.

“I received the sad news that the Mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandic, had passed away in the early morning hours. On this occasion, I address the most sincere Christian condolences first to the close and distant relatives. Then to the City of Zagreb, for which he lived, because he loved it, as he loved the Croatian people and his homeland. I also extend my sincere condolences to all his associates in the administration of the City of Zagreb,” stated Puljic in his message among other things.

Milan Bandic, the Mayor of the Croatian capital, Zagreb, died at the age of 66 from a heart attack.
