BiH Border Police investigating Milorad Dodik’s crossing at Banja Luka Airport

In a statement, the Border Police confirmed that a case has been opened and preliminary checks are underway to establish the facts. The agency stressed that procedures for VIP border crossings require advance notification through diplomatic channels or state protocol, and its handling of such cases depends on whether those requirements are met.

The Border Police also said its internal oversight unit had been instructed to review the conduct of officers involved in the case.

The agency emphasized that it operates strictly under Bosnia’s border control laws and remains committed to protecting the country’s borders and citizens’ security.

Officials added that all border checks are carried out in accordance with legal procedures, including reviewing relevant records from other competent institutions, and urged media outlets to verify information directly with the Border Police before publication.
