The branch unions of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SSSBiH) launched a humanitarian campaign and have so far collected 564,866 Bosnian marks (around €240,000) for the victims of the devastating earthquakes that hit Turkey and Syria at the beginning of February.
The President of the Independent Union of Civil Servants and Employees in the Civil Service, Judiciary and Public Institutions in the Federation BiH entity, Samir Kurtovic, presented the data Friday on how much funds the branch unions have collected individually and emphasized that this showed great unity in the union and solidarity.
"This is a great result and strength of this union, and with this, we have shown how much we can do as a union when we are united, in solidarity and when we can help in situations like this," Kurtovic said.
