A member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Becirovic, has extended his condolences to the President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron, following the devastating impact of Cyclone Chido, which caused significant loss of life and injuries on the island of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean.
In his letter, Becirovic expressed profound sorrow over the tragedy:
“Dear Mr. President,
I was deeply saddened by the news of the tragic loss of lives and injuries caused by Cyclone Chido, which devastated the island of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean.
On behalf of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and on my personal behalf, I extend to you, the families of the victims, and the people of the Republic of France my deepest condolences.
I also express my hopes for the swift recovery of the injured and the reconstruction of the affected area. Our thoughts and hearts are with the families who have lost their loved ones.
Please accept the assurances of my sincere condolences and solidarity, Mr President.”
The BiH Presidency stated that Becirovic’s message reflects the country’s solidarity with the people of France during this challenging time.
