BiH Presidency Members Zeljko Komsic and Sefik Dzaferovic met in Istanbul with a delegation from the Committee on Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Turkey (DEIK), the presidency said Wednesday.
The delegation of the Committee on Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Turkey was led by the President of DEIK, Nail Olpak. The delegation also included the Chairman of the Turkish-Bosnian Business Council Muzafer Cilek, members of the Board and the Assembly of DEIK, representatives of the Turkish-Bosnian Business Council, and numerous entrepreneurs from the Republic of Turkey.
BiH Presidency members Komsic and Dzaferovic expressed satisfaction with the meeting and interest in improving the relations in the field of economic cooperation. The two noted that cooperation in the field of the economy should be further developed by improving the business environment for investments, increasing trade and increasing the volume of Turkish investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Interlocutors stressed that it is necessary to work on promoting and connecting companies of the two countries, with a special focus on sectoral cooperation.
The importance of the need for regular meetings of the Joint Economic Commission, in order to improve economic cooperation, as well as intensify economic cooperation between the two countries, through participation in business forums, but also through direct contacts between entrepreneurs was also stressed.
In the end, BiH Presidency members expressed gratitude to the Republic of Turkey for the projects currently implemented in the country.
The meeting was also attended by Bosnia's Communications and Transport Minister Vojin Mitrovic and on behalf of the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik, the Head of the Cabinet Danijel Dragicevic.
