The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina posted on the social media that the country has joined a letter of support for the work of the International Criminal Court (ICC), after US President Donald Trump imposed sanctions on this institution.

Bosnia and Herzegovina has thus signed a joint statement expressing support for the ICC’s work, a move made by 78 other countries around the world.

"Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a signatory to the Rome Statute and a member of the Assembly of States Parties to the ICC, supports the independence, impartiality, and integrity of the International Criminal Court. Any measures that undermine the Court risk impunity for the most serious crimes and undermine international rule of law," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on the X platform.

It’s worth noting that Milorad Dodik, the President of BiH's Republika Srpska (RS) entity, stated that he supports Trump's decision to impose sanctions on the ICC, calling it a clear message that attacks on the sovereignty of states and their citizens’ right to legitimate defense will not be tolerated.
