
The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nesic, who is in custody over alleged corruption, announced on Facebook that he is resigning. The move comes as the House of Representatives was discussing an the initiative to dismiss him.
“The details and reasons for my resignation will be announced tomorrow after it is officially submitted,” Nesic added.
He expressed his love for BiH's Republika Srpska entity and stated that he will continue to fight for it.
Nesic was arrested end of 2024 along with several other individuals and is currently held in the state prison in Vojkovici.
He was charged with of abuse of office and accepting bribes during his tenure as director of the public company “Roads of Republika Srpska” from 2016 to 2020.
