Bosnia's Civil Affairs Ministry has consolidated the expressed needs of both Federation and Republika Srpska entities and the Brcko District for the vaccine against Covid-19 and forwarded them to the Pfizer Representation in BiH, and to the embassies of Russia and China, the Ministry told Anadolu Agency on Thursday.
“The Federation entity wants to buy 100,000 doses of Gamaley and Sinopharm vaccines, and 200,000 doses of BioNTech/Pfizer, Republika Srpska entity wants 80,000 Sinopharm and 50,000 BioNTech / Pfizer, and Brcko District wants 20,000 Gamaley and Sinopharm and 8,000 BioNPech/Pfizer,” the Ministry told Anadolu Agency.
The Ministry noted that the vaccine procurement process began in the ninth month when the contract with the Global Vaccine (GAVI) Alliance was signed.
“in cooperation with the competent authorities of the entities and the Brcko District, the Ministry completed all obligations within the planned deadlines and the responsibility for not yet receiving the ordered and paid vaccines lies in the GAVI Alliance and the COVAX mechanism,” the Ministry of Civil Affairs added.
