The Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide, the Association "Movement of Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Zepa", the Association of Women of Podrinje, the Association of Families of Martyrs, Prisoners and Missing Persons in Kotor Varos and the Union of Concentration Camp Inmates in Bosnia and Herzegovina called again for the peace-keeping forces of the European Union (EUFOR) and NATO to protect Bosniaks, returnees to the Republika Srpska (RS) entity.
”After attacks on returnees to the RS entity have become every day and considering that the RS Interior Ministry as well as the prosecution offices in the RS have no intention of taking any actions with the aim of preventing and punishing the perpetrators, and with the aim of protecting the returnees who have become an obvious target, we, once again, call on you, EU and NATO forces, stationed in BiH, to protect Bosniaks,” the victims’ associations said.
Otherwise “we will hold them (EU and NATO forces) responsible for the escalation of violence.”
“We send a clear and unequivocal message that we will no longer tolerate such behaviour at the cost of self-organization for the purpose of protecting our returnees,” said the victims’ associations in a press release.
