Residents of the Bosnian city of Banja Luka came to the streets after a devastating 6.2 Richter scale earthquake struck Petrinja in Croatia.
Many Banja Luka citizens came to the centre in Banja Luka near the Orthodox church and Republika Srpska (RS) entity institutions. RS Civil Protection Agency said they are on standby, calling on citizens to get out of their homes and remain calm.
“By the decision of the competent Ministry, schools will not hold classes in the second shift, Tuesday. We recommend everyone to leave their homes until we see how the situation will develop further. We call on the citizens to remain calm and follow the instructions of the authorities,” said the RS Civil Protection Agency.
The earthquake was felt in Bosnia, Serbia, Austria, Italy, North Macedonia and the rest of the region.
