A total of 1,170 doses of Pfizer vaccines, more than expected, arrived in Bosnia’s Brcko District on Thursday, enough to vaccinate 585 medical workers.
On Thursday morning, the first 23,400 doses of the BioNTech/Pfizer vaccines which Bosnia purchased through the COVAX mechanism arrived in the country.

Brcko District should have received 612 doses from the shipment, but Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity sent part of its share of the vaccines, 558 doses, to Brcko.
