The fire that has been raging around Lake Boracko in the Herzegovina region since Friday, has reached the nearby access roads and villages. Although the houses are not in jeopardy at the moment, the firefighters fear that increasing air temperature and wind could spread the fire again.
After the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina provided green light a night ago, the Armed Forces sent helicopters this morning to put the blaze under control.
Currently, there are hundreds of children and youth camping near the lake as well as numerous tourists and visitors.
Another danger that potentially threatens the locals and everyone in the vicinity of this place is the descent of animals from the area affected by the fire, towards Lake Boracko.
