Heavy rainfall caused the water level of all Bosnian rivers to rise, overflow their riverbeds, seep into residential, commercial and auxiliary buildings, as well as activate landslides. The situation is critical in Bihac, Sanski Most, but also in Bosanska Krupa, where the water level is higher than has ever been measured in this city.

All available units of the Civil Protection Administration, the Public Utility Company and the Professional Fire Department of Bosanska Krupa, as well as all the volunteer fire brigades in the city, are on the ground reacting where it is necessary and possible to react.

The mayor of Bosanska Krupa, Armin Halitovic, told N1 that the situation in that city has never been worse.

"It’s Apocalypse. The apocalypse is here. We no longer have the exact number of flooded buildings. The situation has never been more difficult. The water is now some 20 centimetres higher than the highest ever measured water level, maybe even higher," Halitovic said.

When asked if the floods caused any victims in that area, Halitovic replied: "We have one suspicion, but it has not been confirmed. And I don't know when it will be confirmed, given the enormous water level and the speed of the river's flow. We suspect the victim is a woman but she hasn’t been found due to the high water level. We still don't have reports that someone is missing or hasn't returned home."
