According to Macedonian outlet SportSport, North Macedonia, led by head coach Goce Sedloski, has scheduled two preparatory fixtures against World Cup-bound teams. The first of these will take place on May 29 in Sarajevo, where they will face Bosnia and Herzegovina, coached by Sergej Barbarez.
Three days later, North Macedonia will travel to Istanbul to take on Turkey at Galatasaray’s stadium, with Vincenzo Montella in charge of the Turkish side.
Earlier, officials from the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation confirmed that the national team would play one friendly match at the Asim Ferhatovic Hase Stadium before heading to the World Cup, followed by a final “dress rehearsal” match abroad. The exact date of that second fixture, June 4, 5, or 6, has yet to be confirmed.
Barbarez’s squad has been drawn into a challenging World Cup group, where they will face Canada, Switzerland, and Qatar.
