Bosnia and Herzegovina's honey exports increased by 10.61% in 2024

Bosnia and Herzegovina exported honey worth 266,437 Bosnian marks (some €136,300) last year, reflecting a 10.61% increase compared to 2023.

At the same time, honey imports reached 4.6 million marks (€2.35 million), marking a 28.75% rise compared to the previous year.

The total quantity of exported honey saw a 45.67% growth, with 10 tons shipped abroad in 2024, compared to 6.9 tons in 2023. Meanwhile, honey imports amounted to 621.4 tons.

According to the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, the export value per kilogram of honey in 2024 was 26.30 Bosnian marks (€13.50), while the import value per kilogram stood at 7.36 marks (approximately €3.80).

Saudi Arabia was the largest importer of Bosnian honey, purchasing 8,148 kilograms, followed by Jordan with around one ton, the United Arab Emirates with 211 kg, and Turkey with 137 kg.

On the other hand, Bosnia and Herzegovina imported honey primarily from Croatia, Serbia, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Hungary.
