The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated the Kazakhstan team with the result of 2:0 at Nur-Sultan within the 7th round of qualifications for the FIFA World Cup, thus breaking through to a second place in Group D.
Team Bosnia scored the first goal in the 25th minute of the match when Miroslav Stevanovic kicked the ball in towards Smail Prevljak who headshot the ball straight into the Kazakh net.
Prevljak scored the second goal as well in the 66th minute after getting in contact with the ball.
With the Friday victory, the BiH team broke through to a second place in Group D behind the leader – France, which has six points more, but also a game more. Kazakhstan is in the last fifth place with three points won.
BiH will play again on Tuesday, this time in Ukraine, while Kazakhstan will host Finland at home turf.
