Bosnia and Herzegovina has logged 706 new coronavirus cases and 42 fatalities, the healthcare authorities confirmed on Tuesday.

The new results came from 3,222 lab tests performed on those who reported the infection symptoms.

The Federation entity confirmed 304 new COVID-19 cases out of 2,109 those who underwent coronavirus test, bringing the total in this part of the country to 163,253. With 18 new fatalities reported over the past 24 hours, the COVID-19 death toll now stands at 6,474.

Healthcare authorities in the Republika Srpska entity performed 803 lab tests in the past 24 hours and confirmed 329 new COVID-19 patients, 83,338 in total. The death toll in this part of the country is 4,784 and 23 fatalities caused by the COVID-19 were confirmed since the last update on Monday.

Brcko District reported 73 new cases and one death.
