Due to the current events and the escalation of the conflict between the states of Palestine and Israel, as well as the latest terrorist attacks in Belgium and France, Bosnia’s Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies asked the security agencies to collect any information and knowledge of importance for VIPs and objects from their jurisdiction. The Directorate told Fena news agency that the level of security has been increased for all facilities of vital importance as well as facilities of diplomatic missions in BiH and all police officers have been ordered to increase vigilance and caution when implementing security measures, as well as to proactively collect all information relevant to the aforementioned.

Accordingly, the Directorate increased the level of security of the Embassy and the residence of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Bosnia and Herzegovina and sent a request to the Sarajevo Canton Interior Ministry to increase police presence near the said facility.

Additionally, the Directorate sent a dispatch to all security services in BiH to increase police presence near facilities of importance for the Jewish and Palestinian communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the purpose of protecting and preserving citizens’ lives and cultural and religious monuments.
