Bosnia has registered 69.7 percent fewer tourist visits in 2020 compared to 2019, which 498,090 tourists visiting the country last year and 1,640,717 the year before.

Tourists booked 1,235,971 overnight stays in BiH between January and December 2020, 63.4 percent less than in the same period the year before.

The number of overnight stays of domestic tourists last year was lower by 21.5 percent, while the number of overnight stays of foreign tourists was lower by 79.9 percent compared to 2019.

Most of the foreign tourists that visited Bosnia last year were from Serbia (27.9 percent), Croatia (24.3 percent), United Arab Emirates (5.7 percent), Slovena (4.7 percent), Turkey (3.6 percent), Germany (3.1 percent) and Montenegro (3.0 percent).
