A total of 274 new coronavirus infections were confirmed and 19 COVID-19 patients passed away in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past 24 hours, healthcare authorities said on Tuesday.
Of the 2,774 people tested in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity, 163 were positive for the virus and nine died due to the disease since Monday.
In the other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 99 of the 798 samples tested were positive and ten COVID-19 patients died.
Bosnia’s Brcko District also reported 12 new coronavirus infections.
More than 126,000 people tested positive for the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic in Bosnia and more than 105,100 of them have recovered so far.
Bosnia's coronavirus death toll is more than 4,900 and there are currently more than 16,000 active cases in the country.
