Bosnia reports record 2,590 Covid-19 cases and 24 deaths

Bosnia and Herzegovina has for the third straight day logged a new record single-day number of daily Covid-19 cases with 2,590 newly infected patients and another 24 fatalities, the healthcare authorities confirmed on Thursday.

The new results came from 5,942 lab tests performed on those who reported the infection symptoms.

The Federation entity confirmed 1,568 positive outcomes of 4,029 lab tests performed over the past 24 hours. The region's coronavirus total is now at 199,316. With 16 more coronavirus-related deaths, the region's death toll stands at 7,639.

Republika Srpska entity confirmed 833 new Covid-19 cases out of 1,652 lab tests performed, bringing the coronavirus total in this part of the country to 97,933. The region's death toll stands at 5,615, with eight new deaths reported over the past 24 hours.

Brcko District reported 139 new cases out of 261 tests performed and no fatalities.
