Bosnia and Herzegovina has logged a record single-day number of daily Covid-19 cases with 2,269 new infected patients and another 19 fatalities, the healthcare authorities confirmed on Tuesday.

The new results came from 6,078 lab tests performed on those who reported the infection symptoms.

The Federation entity confirmed 1,715 positive outcomes of 4,982 lab tests performed over the past 24 hours. The region's coronavirus total is now at 197,494. With six more coronavirus-related deaths, the region's death toll stands at 7,614.

Republika Srpska entity confirmed 393 new Covid-19 cases out of 763 lab tests performed, bringing the coronavirus total in this part of the country to 96,533. The region's death toll stands at 5,593, with 11 new deaths reported over the past 24 hours.

Brcko District reported 161 new cases out of 333 tests performed and two more fatalities.
