A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Sarajevo between the Agency for Gender Equality of the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the association "Zene s Une," and Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund as part of an EU-funded project. The project, "Providing Support to Vulnerable Women and Developing an Integrated Social Protection Program," aims to enhance social protection for vulnerable women.

Samra Hadziabdic-Filipovic, Director of the Agency for Gender Equality, stated that the project contributes to reforms necessary for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU accession and supports marginalized women by developing a multi-sectoral support system to protect their human rights and promote gender equality.

Stefano Ellero from the EU Delegation emphasized the importance of this initiative, noting its focus on addressing the challenges faced by vulnerable women, while Elmir Bojadzic of Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund highlighted the collaborative efforts to strengthen social inclusion.

The project, funded by the EU with €550,000, aims to empower marginalized women and enhance social protection in local communities in line with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU integration agenda.
