The umbrella organisation of Bosnian Croat parties, the Croat National Assembly (HNS) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated that "Bosniak political parties incite inter-ethnic intolerance with inflammatory rhetoric” as part of their election campaign.
“Every day, we witness public radical pre-election messages from Bosniak parties, which are based on inciting fear and provoking inter-ethnic intolerance. The rhetoric of unrest and confrontation was put at the core of the campaign led by Bosniak political actors”, the HNS said.
The Bosnian Croat political representatives argued that Bosniak parties persistently reject their appeals, as well as calls of representatives of the international community to reach a political consensus on the stability and work of BiH institutions.
“Such a way of communicating with the public is harmful and unnecessary in the conditions when Bosnia and Herzegovina is in a deep political crisis where there are no conditions for the quick formation of government immediately after the elections held in October,” it said.
