Jasmila Zbanic's 'Quo Vadis, Aida?' welcomes BAFTA with two nominations

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) will present its awards on Sunday evening in London, at a ceremony without an audience due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the Bosnian director of "Quo Vadis, Aida?" Jasmila Zbanic welcomes the ceremony with two nominations – for best foreign film and best director.

The awards will be presented in 25 categories, and the 74th in ceremony will be held at the Royal Albert Hall.

Films "Nomadland" and "Rocks" have the most nominations, seven each, and "Mank," "Minari,“ "The Father," and "Promising Young Woman" have one less.

The film about the Srebrenica genocide was also nominated for the Oscar in the Best Foreign Language Film category. The movie “Quo Vadis, Aida?” became the second film from BiH to compete for this prestigious award. The Oscars will be awarded on April 25.

The British Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Matt Field and the US Ambassador Eric Nelson sent a strong message of support to director Zbanic on this occasion.
