Bosnian folk singer Selma Bajrami was not allowed into Serbia on Monday under an order signed by the former head of the country’s top civilian security agency Aleksandar Vulin.
Bajrami was turned away by police at Belgrade airport and was escorted onto a flight back to Sarajevo, the police told N1.
Vulin told the pro-regime Tanjug agency that he signed the order to ban her from Serbia saying that anyone exhibiting symbols of Greater Albania can’t take money from Serbia. “As director of the Security Information Agency (BIA), I issued a number of orders about all those who harm the dignity of Serbia and our people. I don’t which orders are still in force but traitors and people who think they can spit on Serbia with impunity should check for themselves,” he said.
Bajrami exhibited a Greater Albania two-headed eagle at a concert in Sarajevo. Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said late last year that there is reason to ban her from Serbia.
