Sarajevo-based Pomozi.ba humanitarian organization is struggling with an incalculable amount of donations in the form of goods which the Bosnian citizens gave to the people of Turkey and Syria after the devastating earthquake that hit them at the beginning of the week.

N1’s reporter Aleksandra Tolj-Ruzic visited the organization's centre in Sarajevo’s Cengic Vila neighbourhood and said that there are many volunteers helping to sort the goods.

Pomozi.ba noted that only winter clothes and shoes, blankets, sleeping bags and other things suitable for the winter period are sent. As for the food, they asked that it be only dry food. Baby food as well as diapers.

This organization asked all citizens not to bring goods to Cengic Vila anymore but to Blazuj their other centre, where goods are also sorted.

On Sunday, they published a video on social networks titled “This is not Pomozi.ba, this is Bosnia and Herzegovina!”.

The Director of Pomozi.ba, Elvir Karalic, appealed to the residents of Sarajevo on Saturday.

“We are literally missing a hundred people. We are in chaos, our Azici centre is overwhelmed, Cengic Vila is buried”, he said and called on the citizens to help:

“Tomorrow (today) we need as many hands as possible. One volunteer means more to us tomorrow than a donation of 500 Bosnian marks (some €250)”.
