The company, based in Novi Travnik in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, manufactures complex steel structures used in construction machinery operating across Europe. Over the years, the Novi Travnik operation has developed into one of the key production centres of the wider ADK Group, according to the City of Novi Travnik.

"We went from two employees to more than 660 people, and ADK Novi Travnik is now at the heart of the entire group. Structures manufactured here are installed in construction machinery operating across Europe. Everything we have achieved is the result of the work of our employees, and they deserve the greatest credit," ADK Novi Travnik director Vili Šumer said.

BAM 12 million investment

Šumer announced a new investment worth BAM 12 million, involving the construction of a 10,050-square-metre production facility.

The new plant is expected to enable further automation of production and provide capacity for additional jobs.

"This is not the end of our development. I am confident that we will continue working with the same energy in the decades ahead," Šumer said.

Construction of the new facility is expected to be completed next year, with the expansion also set to increase the company's workforce.

Slovenian ambassador: Major investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Slovenian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Damijan Sedar, who attended the company's 20th anniversary event, described ADK Novi Travnik as one of the most significant Slovenian business investments in the country.

"I have visited ADK Novi Travnik several times, and each time there has been visible progress. It is one of the largest Slovenian investors in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a good example of how successful business can be done here," Sedar said.

He added that Bosnia and Herzegovina's membership in the European Union would open up new opportunities and make doing business easier, while noting that ADK's development showed what could already be achieved under current conditions.

Novi Travnik Mayor Stjepan Dujo said the company's workforce demonstrated its importance to the local economy.

"Twenty years of operations and 660 employees say enough about what ADK is today and how much it means to Novi Travnik. Stable operations and satisfied employees are what every manager wants, and from my conversations with the management and workers, I know that ADK has both," Dujo said.
