Bosnian national arrested in Zadar for drug trafficking and illegal weapon possession

A 33-year-old Bosnian national has been detained by the Zadar police after being found in possession of over a kilogram of amphetamines, nearly half a kilogram of MDMA, and smaller quantities of psilocybin mushrooms, hashish, cocaine, and marijuana.

The Zadar police reported on Monday that they conducted a criminal investigation into the suspect, who is accused of drug abuse and illegal possession of weapons.

During the investigation, a search of the suspect's residence in Zadar was carried out based on a court order. The search yielded approximately 1,186 grams of amphetamines, 482 grams of MDMA crystals, 46 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 50 grams of hashish, four grams of cocaine, six grams of marijuana, and about 420 grams of a powder intended to increase the volume of the drugs.

In addition to the drugs, police also found a digital scale and a pistol with six rounds of ammunition.

Following the completion of the investigation, the 33-year-old was handed over to the custody supervisor at the Zadar Police Department, and a criminal report was submitted to the relevant state prosecutor for unauthorized production and trafficking of drugs, as well as illegal possession, manufacturing, and acquisition of weapons and explosives, according to the Zadar police.
