Bosnian parliament abolishes tax on donated food

The proposal to the Law on the Value Added Tax was unanimously adopted on Thursday by the House of Peoples in an urgent procedure and without a discussion, a week after the law changes were also unanimously adopted by the House of Representatives.

According to the procedure, the Steering Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority is now obliged to pass a bylaw within 60 days after the law comes into force, which will enable the law implementation.

MP Sasa Magazinovic explained on behalf of the law proponent that the changes mean the abolition of tax on food.
