The Bosnian Premier League will consist of ten clubs starting from the 2025/2026 season, as decided in the regular Assembly of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held today at the Hills Hotel in Sarajevo.
Currently, the top-tier league in Bosnia and Herzegovina has 12 clubs. In the next season, four clubs will be relegated from the elite tier, promising an extremely turbulent and exciting season given the circumstances in Bosnian club football.
With two rounds left in the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the leading team, Sloboda, has a four-point advantage over second-placed Stupcanica, making it almost certain that the team from Tuzla will return to the top tier next season. In the First League of Republika Srpska, Radnik from Bijeljina has already secured its return to the highest level.
Therefore, next season, the Bosnian Premier League will feature: Borac, Zrinjski, Velez, Sarajevo, Posusje, Zeljezničar, Sloga Doboj, Siroki Brijeg, GOSK Gabela, Igman Konjic, Radnik Bijeljina, and likely Sloboda Tuzla. By the end of the season, four of these 12 teams will be relegated to a lower tier.
