The average monthly net salary paid per employee in Bosnia and Herzegovina in July this year amounted to 1,262 Bosnian marks (some €630) and it was nominally lower by 0.4 percent, and 0.2 percent lower in real terms compared to June this year.
The average net salary for July this year compared to the same month last year is nominally higher by 11.3 percent, and seven percent higher in real terms, according to the data of the BiH Statistics Agency.
Employees in financial and insurance activities had the highest average net salaries of 1,865 marks (some €953), followed by employees in information and communication activities with a salary of 1,846 marks (some €945), and in the production and supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning, 1,737 marks (around €888).
Employees in accommodation services, food preparation and catering had the lowest average net earnings in July reaching 816 marks (around €417), and employees in construction received 951 marks (or €486).
The average monthly gross salary for July this year was 1,944 marks (or €993), which is nominally lower by 0.5 percent, and lower by 0.3 percent in real terms compared to June of this year. The average gross salary in July 2023 compared to the same month last year is nominally higher by 11.8 percent and by 7.5 percent in real terms.
